The Best Practice For Increase Sustenance and Protect Wealth

To Repent Good for Sustenance

The best way to increase sustenance and Protect wealth in the eyes of Islam—Allah (Almighty)—is mentioned in the Holy Qur’an: I told them to seek forgiveness from your Lord. Surely He is Oft-Forgiving. He will let loose the sky upon you in torrents. and provide wealth and children, and allot for your gardens and rivers. (71:10-12)

In the narration of Ibn Abbas (RA), the Prophet (PBUH) said, A person who constantly repents and apologizes, Allah will find a way out of the crisis; He will remove all worries and provide livelihoods from unimaginable sources. (Abu Dawud: 1518; Ibn Majah: 3819)

Maintaining Kinship Ties

Anas Ibn Malek (RA) said I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying, ‘Whoever wants his sustenance to increase and his life to be long, let him maintain good relations with his relatives. (Bukhari: 5985; Muslim: 4639)

Spending and donating in the way of Allah for livelihoods

Allah has mentioned in the Holy Qur’an: “He (Allah) will replace what you spend, And He is the best provider.”(34:39)

And in their wealth, there was a rightful share for the beggar and the deprived. (51:19)

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “Every morning, two angels descend. One of them says, ‘O Allah! Reward the giver well for his charity. The other says, ‘O Allah! Destroy the miser.” (Bukhari: 1442, Muslim: 1010)

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, ‘You are helped and provided for because of the weak among you.’ (Bukhari:2896)

Allah has said, “And admonish your people to prayer and observe it patiently. We do not ask you for sustenance, but we give you sustenance. And a good reward for those who follow the orders of their Lord.” (20:132)

Abu Huraira (RA) narrated that- The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, Allah says: “O son of Adam! You empty your heart for my worship. I will fill the want of your heart and remove the path of your poverty. And if you don’t; I will fill your hands with the busyness (of the world) and not fulfill your needs.” (Tirmidhi:2466; Ibn Majah:4107; Musnad Ahmad:8696)

Relying only on Allah and asking him for help

Allah Almighty has mentioned in the Holy Qur’an, “Your Lord says, Pray to Me, and I will respond to you.” (40:60)

And whoever reverences Allah: He will make a way out for him. And will provide for him from where he never expected. Whoever relies on Allah: He is enough for him. (65:2,3)

It is in the narration of Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “He who falls into want surrenders to people, it means relies on man to remove want; His lack is not fulfilled. On the other hand, whoever relies on Allah for a remedy after want, Allah grants him livelihoods immediately or later.” (Tirmidhi:2896 and 2326; Musnad Ahmad: 4219)

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “If you put your trust in Allah properly. He will provide for you as He provides for birds. Birds leave their nests hungry (on empty stomachs) in the morning and return home in the evening with their bellies full.” (Tirmidhi:2344; Ibn Majah:4164)

Trying to earn a living

Then, when the prayer is concluded, disperse throughout the land, seek Allah’s bounty, and remember Allah often, so that you may prosper. (62:10)

The Prophet (PBUH) said, ‘If any of you goes to the mountain with a rope in the morning. Then he earns his living by collecting and selling wood and also donates. Better than begging.’ (Bukhari:1,480; Muslim:1042)

 Get Married

Allah Almighty has mentioned in the Holy Qur’an that you should marry those who are single among you. And those who are fit among your servants and maids. If they are poor, Allah will make them wealthy by His grace. Because Allah is all-encompassing and all-knowing. (24:32)

The Prophet (PBUH) said, “Allah has assigned the duty of helping three classes of people. One of the three classes is the person who is interested in marriage and who is willing to marry and live a holy life.” (Tirmidhi: 1655; Ibn Majah: 2518)
